Glenn Calvin Bolton, 96, died on August 3, 2024. He was born on December 23, 1927, in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Glenn Bolton and Georgia E. Stevens.
After serving in the Navy during World War II, he attended Iowa State University and obtained his Bachelors degree in Dairy Science. He married Patricia Darmer and they had three children. They traveled throughout the Midwest while he worked in the dairy industry. He retired from the Southland Corporation and moved to Cedar Creek Lake.
During that time he reconnected with an old elementary school friend, Liz Metier, and they eventually married. They spent their years living in Cedar Creek Lake and Liz’s home in Ft. Collins, Colorado, until her death. He returned to Texas and lived near Lake Fork to be near his son.
He had a passion for fishing and golfing and could often be found casting a line into the water or teeing off on the golf course. Mr. Bolton had a warm personality and had a knack for telling a good joke. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Bolton is survived by his son, Tom Bolton and wife Selena; daughter, Nancy Spencer and husband Dave; daughter-in-law, Shelley Bolton; grandchildren, Ben Bolton, Michael Bolton and Alyssa, Bradley Bolton, Andy Spencer and Ashley, and Jillian Ochs and Caleb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Felicia, Willie and Marcia; his first wife, Patricia; second wife, Liz; and son, Steve.
