Funeral services for Willie Marie Robinson, 77, of Emory, will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 12:00 p.m., at Emory Baptist Church. Officiating will be Revs. W.R. Byrd, Bobby Thomas, Elgie Clayton, Robert Stepney and Ronald Garcia. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Bozeman, Michael Hobbs, Marshall Dunlap, Victor Hunter, Vincent Bozeman and Ronnie Bozeman. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Mayberry, Robert Smith Jr., John L. Robinson, Norris Mayberry and Derrick McMillan.
Mrs. Robinson died on June 10, 2024, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs. She was born on September 2, 1946, in Sulphur Springs, to Odie Bozeman Sr. and Earnestine Nash. She graduated from Como-Pickton High School in 1966 and married her high school sweetheart, Hubert Robinson. They were married in Emory on August 26, 1966, and were married for 57 years, together for 60 years. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She worked as a seamstress for over 22 years at Shireys in Emory and HD Lee in Sulphur Springs. She was a choir member and Sunday school secretary at Prairie Grove Baptist Church in Emory.
She is survived by her husband; children, Bernard Robinson and wife Elizabeth, Halbert Robinson, Cedric Robinson and Monica Coleman; grandchildren, Lauren Arkansas and husband Terrance, Jasmine Robinson, Bernard Robinson Jr., Jordan Miller and wife Katherine, Ellissia Robinson, Alexis Robinson, Brittany Coleman, Reco Coleman, Braylan Smith, Carson Miller, Rosaleigh Miller, Zadie Miller and Rheaklynn Miller; great-grandchildren, Tatumn Arkansas, Tru Arkansas and Ezekiel; siblings, Connie Dunlap, Swaunice McMillan, Delores Smith, Lee Bozeman and wife Susan, Sandra Mayberry and husband Norris, and Cleoria Bozeman; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tommy Bozeman and Odie Bozeman Jr.; and sisters, Lucy Strange and Thelma Hobbs.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prairie Grove Baptist Church FM 275 in Emory, Texas 75440. Memorial donations can be made to the Colony Cemetery in her honor.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
