Dorothy Sue Carter, 70, died on May 3, 2024, in Point. She was born on February 25, 1954, in Dallas, to Rolen B. And Nellie F. Carter.
After graduating from Samuell High School in Dallas she worked for General Motors for 38 years before retiring in 2010. She was the first female fork truck driver at the Arlington plant.
She is survived by sisters, Alice Wenzel and husband Scotty, and Mary Conner and husband Doug; nieces, Cori Slemmons and husband Jeramy and Michelle Turk and husband John; nephew, David Conner and wife Cathleen; four great-nephews, Kyle Schellinger, Beau Schellinger, Rome Slemmons and Miles Turk; great-nieces, Bailey Conner, Cassidy Collins and husband Steven; and Rylee Slemmons; and great-great-niece, Teagon Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
