Memorial services for Robert Earl Dyer, 57, of Alba, will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating, under the direction of the church and family.
Mr. Dyer died on February 22, 2024, at his residence in Alba. He was born on January 27, 1967, in Mesquite, to Charles Eugene and Georgina Cutler Dyer. On September 29, 2018, he married Jamie Dianne Chapman in Athens. They moved from Wolfe City to the Alba-Golden area five years ago. He was a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship Church. Mr. Dyer graduated from West Mesquite High School, class of 1985, and from the Dallas Art Institute with a Culinary Degree. He was at home in the kitchen as well as under the hood of a car. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 745, employed at Solvay in Greenville.
Mr. Dyer is survived by his wife, Jamie Dyer of Alba; mother, Georgina Buffington and stepdad, Roger of Wolfe City; two daughters, Amber Dyer of Commerce and Mackenzie Slaten of Grand Prairie; four brothers, Ronnie Dyer and wife Sheila of Mabank, Charles Lee Dyer and wife Renia of Caddo Mills, Kyle Buffington and wife Kerri of Princeton, and Brian Fullen of Point; sister, Michelle Delozier and husband James of Maryville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Daedyn and Aaliyah; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Richard Dale Dyer; and grandmother, Iris May Barker.
