Ronnie (Brante) Hays, 74, died on January 2, 2024. He was born on June 16, 1949, in Dallas, to Douglas and Edwina Hays. He was a devoted husband, loving father and a true patriot.
Mr. Hays graduated from Rains High School in 1967. He graduated from Texas A&M University Commerce (formerly ETSU) with a Geology/Geography Sciences degree and became a meteorologist in the United State Air Force during the Vietnam war era. He was stationed at various locations throughout the Pacific. He settled in Washington State after serving in the military and obtained his Masters degree in Geological Engineering from University of Idaho – Moscow, Idaho. He served as an engineer in the state of Washington for years until retiring in Fredericksburg. He was an avid amateur astronomer and enjoyed outdoor activities and traveling. His life was filled with loving memories and cherished moments.
Mr. Hays is survived by his wife, Priscilla; two daughters, Malika and Mariah Hays; brother, Coke Hays; and sister, Virginia Potter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice Hays; and brother James (Jim) Hays.
