A family memorial service for Glenda Jean Clark McMahen, 83, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. McMahen died on November 4, 2023, at her residence in Alba. She was born on December 2, 1939, in Hope, Arkansas, to Andrew Odowell and Myrth Jean Herring Clark. On March 28, 1958, she married John Gammon McMahen in Stamps, Arkansas. She lived in Alba for 22 years and Red Oak for 17 years, before moving back to Alba in 2022. She attended Ovilla Church of Christ. She loved sewing, crocheting and cooking for her family.
Mrs. McMahen is survived by her husband of 65 years; daughters, Stefanie Moore and husband Jason of Alba, and Stacy Steele and husband Tommy of DeSoto; sisters, Cindy Williams and husband Dwayne of Bryan, and Marilyn Bocan and husband Dan of Magnolia, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Sharla, Christopher, Kati, John Blake, Chloe and Taylor; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; two sisters; and daughter, Sheila McMahen.
