Funeral services for Matthew Austin Keith, 23, will be held on Friday, August 4, at 4:00 p.m., at Clarks Chapel Church of God. Interment will follow in Turner Cemetery. Mr. Keith died on July 26, 2023, in Lubbock. He was born on December 27, 1999, in Lubbock, to Bill and Jocelyn Keith.
Mr. Keith worked on an oil rig where he showcased his dedication and work ethic. He always found time to connect with loved ones and cherish the moments spent together.
One of Mr. Keith’s defining traits was his selflessness. He was known as “Unct” by his nephews. His role as an uncle was one he cherished deeply, and he made it his mission to be a positive influence in their lives. His love and belief in the Lord were heard in every conversation he had.
Mr. Keith is survived by his parents; grandparents, Vicki Fleeman, Sandy Visage and Arlene Fleeman; brother, Issaic Keith and wife Presley; sisters, Hannah Keith and Brooklyn Adams-Keith; nephews, Noah Kase and Kruze Keith; uncles and aunts, Luke Logan and wife Kaci, Auntie and husband Ted White, Aunt Cole and husband Aaron Combs of Emory, Todd Keith and wife Angie and Lance Britton; cousins, Landon Bartlett and spouse Nikki, Kolby Keith, KK Johnson and husband Jared, Kayla Keith and husband, Mason Bartlett and wife Sammy, Kynlee White, Kelty White, Cooper Combs, Jaxon Combs and Milo Logan.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Bill Fleeman, Steve Keith and Jack Visage; and cousin, Liam Logan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Matthew Love Fund at CNB bank in Emory for his nephews, Noah Kase and Kruze Keith.
Visitation services will be held on August 3, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.
