Ernie Eugene Stacy Jr., 79, of Point, died on June 2, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 13, 1944, in Red Bay, Alabama, to Ernie Ervay Stacy and Erva Martin.
Mr. Stacy was a lifelong truck driver and retired from Overnite Transportation. He served in the army and was stationed in Korea.
He enjoyed life with his family, often surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His house was a favorite destination for all the kids.
He is survived by his brother, James Stacy; daughters, Laurie Hendricks of Point, and Tammy Hooten and husband Marty of Point; sons, Jeffery Stacy of Point, Mathew Portman and wife Ashley of McKinney; grandchildren, Sara Medlin and husband Jason Puryear of Greenville, Jessica Thompson and husband Kyle of Evans, Georgia, Taylor Medlin and husband Bryan Harris of Point, Devyn Dowdle and husband Brandon of Killeen, Jordan Hooten of Austin, Andrew Stacy-Medlin and girlfriend Becca of Greenville, and Sloane Portman and Knox Portman of Mckinney; great-grandchildren, Aiden Puryear, Michael Puryear, Allie Puryear, Kane Puryear, Shelby Brown, Lincoln Brown, Aiden Thompson, AJ Harris, DJ Harris, Karter Harris, Willow Sharp, Caspian Sharp and Ilia Sharp; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby Martin, Charles Martin and Wayne Stacy; and sister, Diane Portman.
