Funeral services for Bobby Frank Robbins, 88, were held on January 7. He died on January 4, 2023 in Emory. He was born on June 21, 1934, to Emmett Robbins and Mittie McKay in Rains County.
Mr. Robbins married Mildred Wood on August 13, 1955, in Dallas. They enjoyed 67 years together. He was a member of Emory Baptist Church, worked as a butcher and managed multiple grocery and convenience stores for his cousin Max Fletcher. He loved to fish and golf, but his passion was gardening and growing flowers. He was very active in his church and enjoyed weekly game days with his church family.
Mr. Robbins is survived by his wife; daughter, Cheryl Traylor and husband David; sons, Kelly Robbins and wife Donna, and Kevin Robbins and wife Grace; granddaughters, Shawnee Peacock and husband Matthew, Angela Teel and husband Reagan, Jayde Sustaire and husband Kevin, and Kortni Deaver and husband Matt; grandsons, Brian Robbins and wife Melani, Brett Robbins and Bryan Robbins; great-grandsons, Tucker and wife Aubrey, Kole, Tate, Kade, Jake, Lexton, Kale and Rhett; great-granddaughter, Lynnli; brothers, Jerry Robbins and wife Vicky, Jim Robbins and Michael Robbins and wife Rita; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carol Robbins; son, Danny Robbins; and sisters, Mildred Neal, Jean Studdard, Betty McGriff and Patricia Drebitko.
