A graveside service for Phillip “Don” Turner, 72, of Greenville, was held on January 9 at Prospect Cemetery in Emory.
Mr. Turner died on January 5, 2020. He was born on September 12, 1947, to Melvin and Odessa Turner in Greenville. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, baseball – especially The Rangers, being outdoors spending time in the garden and spending time with his family.
Mr. Turner is survived by his children, Tammy Green and fiance Mike of Sulphur Springs, Amanda Meadows and husband Larry of Sulphur Springs, Jason Turner and wife Angela of Kilgore, Phillip Darrin Turner and wife Tammy of Poetry, and Darren Hall and wife April of Hughes Springs; grandchildren, Robyn Joslin, Kadie Green, Richard Green, Chelsey Meadows, Jackson Turner, Harley Loeb, Taylor Turner, Zachary Turner, Brookelyn Richardson, and Dalton Hall; great-grandchildren, Kourtnea Joslin, Trenton Wright, Madalyne Masters, Paisley Jo and Emersyn; brother, Melvin Ray Turner of Point; sister, Pat McCaskill and husband Max of Athens; significant others, Beverly Tarrant, Tammy James and husband Brett, Tabitha Bautista and husband Alex, and Stephanie James and fiance Jeremy, all of Greenville; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Paul Turner; and sister, LouAnn Evans.
