A memorial service for Tammy Caroline Patterson, 60, will be held on February 12, at 1:00 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in Emory. Rev Jimmy Jarrett will officiate.
Mrs. Patterson died on January 28, 2022, at her home in Emory. She was born on April 4, 1961, to Joann and Floyd Green in Antlers, Okla. She lived most her life in Emory.
She met the love of her life, Randy Patterson, in 1983, and they married on May 6, 1984. They lived in Emory raising their two girls.
She was a homemaker most her life, enjoying gardening, animals and anything outdoors. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. She could not leave a store without grabbing more plants to add to her collection. She enjoyed life with her best friend and husband of 39 years by her side. In 1994, Tammy was promoted from Mama to Nonnie. She loved her grandkids and loved taking them for hikes, swimming and even sometimes off-roading in the golf cart on nature trails. She loved her family and friends unconditionally.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her husband of Emory; daughters, Kim Patterson of Emory, and Stephanie Stevens and husband Carey of Whitewright; mother, Joann Turner and husband Jerry of Greenville; brother, Dewayne Green and wife Judy of Hugo, Okla.; sisters, Deborah Lane of Paris, Rebecca Baker and husband Jim of Greenville; grandchildren, Greggory Jackson, Cody Jackson, Kori Jackson, Scott Samples, Kenleigh Nolen and husband Isaac, Seth Samples and Addison Mizzell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; stepmother, Wanda Green; father-in-law, Jerral Patterson; mother-in-law, Marjorie (Bobbie) Patterson; and niece, Brandi Goodrich.
