Graveside services for Vilma M. Grimes, 94, of Mineola, will be held on Friday, January 28, at 11:00 a.m., at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, Maryland.
Mrs. Grimes died on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Country Trails Wellness & Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 11, 1927, in Baltimore, Md. to George and Naomi (Wade) Brunson.
She was passionate about cooking and all were welcome at her table. She will be deeply missed by all.
Mrs. Grimes is survived by her son Clifford S. Grimes of Mineola; sister, Jean Gosnell of Deep Creek Lake; grandchildren, Michelle Johnson and husband Trevous of Westminster, Tracy Coon of Finksburg, Md., Kimberly Taylor and husband Jim Mack Taylor of Emory, and Jaime Grimes of Woodbine, Md.; great-grandchildren, Nicole and husband Mike Fuhrman, George, Chelsea, John, Hannah, Jake and Myles; great-great grandchildren, Grace, Logan, Brendan and Seth.
She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Grimes; son, George Grimes; sister Charlotte V. Lutz; daughter-in-law Linda J. Grimes.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.
