Funeral services for Patsy Ann Valentine Hill, 81, of Mineola, are scheduled for Thursday, January 20, at 2:00 p.m., at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in Alba. Bro. Byron George will officiate under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba.
Mrs. Hill died on January 16, 2022, in Sulphur Springs. She was born October 18, 1940, in Martins Mill, to Elbert Davis and Annie Mae Black Valentine. She spent most of her life in the Wood County area and was a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship Church. She worked as a correction officer for the Wood County Jail and retired after 25 years of service. She loved her grandkids and great-grandkids dearly.
Mrs. Hill is survived by her son Robbie Hill of Mineola; daughters, Carol Ann Williams and husband Pecos of Alba, Terri Wright of Alba, and Asyha Mae Hill of Mineola; brother, Eddie Wayne Valentine and wife Joan of Austin; sisters, Nathalie Roberts and husband Bob and Carole Valentine all of Houston; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-grandchild on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll Gene Wright; husband, John Paul Hill; daughter, Tanja Hill; two grandsons, Mike Poston and Cody Plunk; brother, Travis Valentine; and sister, Lilly Mae Valentine.
