Funeral services for Margie Harvey, 97, of Emory, were held June 18 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Tommy Gaston officiated.
Interment followed at Dunbar Cemetery.
Mrs. Harvey died on June 15, 2021, at Emory Senior Suites. She was born on December 13, 1923, to Elmer Decker and Leota Smith in Van Zandt County. She married Hugh S. Harvey on August 16, 1941, in Emory.
Margie is survived by her son, Hugh Dale Harvey; granddaughters, Sheila Harvey and Paula Johnson and husband Bobby; great-grandchildren, Samantha Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Joseph White and Benjamin Reid; great-great-grandchild, Jackson Frey; sister, Ann Staggs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000; her parents; sisters, Christine McAree, Edith Doudney and Lillian Hukill; brothers, Jessie Decker and Scott Decker; and adopted brother, Z. D. Brown.
