Mr. Phillips died on the morning of February 5, 2021. He was born on May 18, 1965, to James and Lois Phillips. He married Joy Lynn Wineinger on June 11, 1987. He graduated from Lone Oak High School in 1985 and spent many years working at the family business before spending his final 26 years with Barrett Motors. For many years he was a member of Bull Creek Cowboy Church, before recently joining Prairie Valley Baptist Church.
He loved life and enjoyed his time with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and feeding his cows. He never saw the cup half full and could always find the positive in things. Even through his battle with lung cancer, he always held hope of beating it. He enjoyed helping kids, from feeding the youth at the cowboy church, to going to stock shows and supporting his sons FFA Chapter. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything and was always there to support them.
Mr. Phillip is survived by his wife; son, Brian; daughter, Melody Boney and husband Quentin; grandchildren, Hayden and Desiree Boney; mother; three brothers, Randy and wife Dee Ann, Michael, and David and wife LaRena; brother-in-law, Randy Wineinger and wife Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Henry and Faye Phillips and Clifford and Georgia House; and father-in-law, Leon Wineinger.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being set up for future FFA members.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until the service time at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
