Services for John Burt Snyder, 83, of Emory, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 22, at Emory Church of Christ. Paul Foley and Cody McCoy will officiate,
Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest #1 Cemetery, Emory. Pallbearers will be Randy Snyder, Jerot Snyder, Jonas Snyder, and Robert Snyder.
Mr. Snyder died on September 17, 2020, in Sulphur Springs. He was born January 18, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Harvey G.L. and Virginia Jupitor Stinson Snyder. On January 18, 1963, John married Mary Frances Cline in Dallas. He served in the United States Army and worked as a computer technician for IBM in Dallas for 32 years, before retiring. John had lived the last 16 years in Emory and was a member of the Emory Church of Christ.
Mr. Snyder is survived by his wife of Emory; three daughters, Carrie Davis and husband Rick of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lori Foster of Mesquite, and Stephanie Fawcett of Holly Lake Ranch; sister, Louise Kuhne of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother; one stepson; one stepdaughter; and one son-in-law.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., at the church.
