Funeral Services for Thelma Joyce Whitus McQueen were held July 28 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola.
Interment followed at Holland Cemetery in Yantis.
Mrs. McQueen died on July 25, 2020. She was born December 23, 1933, in Rains County to George Whitus and Ruby Faye Northcutt Whitus. She married Thomas William McQueen on August 21, 1951.
Mrs. McQueen is survived by two sons, Larry and wife Ava of Hawkins and Mike and wife Susan of Quitman; daughter Melanie White and husband Mitchell of Mineola; 12 grandchildren, Wendy Jones, Gena von Reyn, Casey Ferguson, John McQueen, Lee Ann Willingham, Coy Sewell, Cody Riddle, Ashley Kratzmayer, Jody Elmore, Kayla Joslin, Amy Young and Brittany White Foster; 26 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 62 years; two daughters, Donna Louise Elmore and LaWanda Joyce Riddle; granddaughter, Misty Eileen White; sister, Judy Faye Whitus; two brothers, Jimmy Charles Whitus and John Kenneth Whitus.
