Funeral services for Holly Jo Walker-Kirk, 62, will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m., at Wilson – Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m., at Sherley Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
Ms. Walker-Kirk died on August 21, 2026. She was born on December 25, 1963.
She dedicated many years working as an office manager. After retirement, she poured her energy into volunteer work at senior centers. She found joy in giving back and was proud of the impact she made.
She enjoyed shopping, the thrill of gambling, and one of her favorite activities was playing the hand and foot card game at the senior center.
Ms. Walker-Kirk is survived by her spouse, Shirley Stewart; sisters, Debbie Martin, Edith Scott and Marcus, and Penny Williams and Tommy; close friends, Renee’ Joseph and Jeff; best friend, Amy Kirk and Kelli; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ezben and Mozelle Walker; parents, Rudy and Johnnie Sue Walker; sister, Polly Adams; and nephew, Johnny Paul.
A visitation honoring Ms. Walker-Kirk’s life will be held on August 29, 2026, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at Wilson – Orwosky Funeral Home.
