Funeral services for Barbara Parker, 81, will be held on March 26, at 11:00 a.m., at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Emory City Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker died on March 22, 2026. She was born on August 15, 1944.
She graduated from beauty school in the early seventies and embarked on a career as a hairdresser.
She loved tackling crossword puzzles, and was an avid fan of Wheel of Fortune, the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. She loved animals and took great joy in feeding the squirrels and the many birds around her home. She also enjoyed feeding deer and fishing. Her proudest accomplishment was her family. She raised five children and dedicated herself to nurturing her family.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her children, Theresa Ann Roach (Herbie), Tammye Renee Mayfield, Stephen Ray Jenkins, and Keith Gabriel Parker; siblings, Helen Streety, Billie Darlene Hampton and Don Hampton; grandchildren, Christie Blaine (Don), Marcus Vaughn (Dawn), Nick Mayfield, Melissa Gonzales (Joel), Amanda Mckinney (Chris), Michael Jenkins, Jayce Parker, and Timothy Parker; great-grandchildren, Victoria Tolliver (Taylor Rogers), John Vaughn, Rilee Mayfield, Travis Mayfield, Benjamin Gonzales, Elaina Gonzales, Dakota Jenkins, Kayla Jenkins, Sara Landrum, and Tyler Landrum.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Jed M. Hampton, Hazel Marie Hampton, Paul Stanley Langel; and son, Kevin Lee Parker.
