Steve Michael Hardy, 72, of Emory, died on March 12, 2026, in Houston surrounded by family and cherished friends. He was born on February 17, 1954, in Georgia, to John Henry Hardy and Grace Virginia (Kerley) Hardy.
Mr. Hardy was a self-employed painter by trade and devoted his career to honing his craft with meticulous attention to detail.
He had a deep love for riding his Harley, embracing the freedom and adventure that the open road offered. He was also a talented craftsman and found joy in building small projects that showcased his creativity and hands-on expertise.
Mr. Hardy is survived by his sisters, Cathy (Larry) Vogel of Keller, and Shelia Meachum of Heber Springs, Arkansas; brother, Stanley Kelly (Kimberly) of Villa Rica, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are tentatively scheduled for Friday, March 20, at noon, with a visitation on Thursday, March 19, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. See the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home website for more information.
