Charlie Braswell, 83, of Point, died on January 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 16, 1942.
Mr. Braswell proudly served as an Army medic during the Vietnam War.
He was warm, funny and had a playful spirit. He was a natural problem-solver, could fix nearly anything and proudly passed both his skills and love of life on to his children.
Mr. Braswell shared 63 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Ann Braswell, who remained by his side until the very end.
He is survived by his wife; sister, Joyce Kafer; children, Lisa Garner, Melissa Hopkins and husband Paul, and Craig Braswell; grandchildren Tyler Hatzenbuehler, Paige Garner, Austin Hatzenbuehler and Ryndee Braswell; and great-grandchildren, Nora Hatzenbuehler and Crosby Hatzenbuehler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Doris Braswell; his infant son, Michael; and his sisters, Audrey Calvert and Sherry Vallier.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emory Baptist Church Family Life Building Fund.
