Elaine Tillison, 78, of Yantis, died unexpectedly on March 28, 2020. She was born on December 28, 1941, to Kenneth and Lilly Marshall in Streator, Illinois.
Mrs. Tillison worked at the Waffle House in Dallas for over 40 years, and it is there she met Billy Tillison, the love of her life.
Mrs. Tillison was a woman of strong faith. She was devoted to her church, Lake Fork Baptist, and her women’s Bible study group, whom she loved dearly. She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother to over 35 grandchildren. Family was everything to her, and she always had a smile and kind words.
Mrs. Tillison is survived by her husband of 35 years; sisters, Jan Vestal and husband Al, and Kathy May; brother, Ronnie Marshal and wife Tina; daughters, Bambi Parker, Lori McGuffin and husband David, Tammi Parker, and Terri Ford and husband Nolan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
No memorial service is scheduled due to the COVID-19 restrictions. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Lake Fork Baptist Church, Alba.
