Ronald Jones

1945– 2025

A burial service for Ronald Jones, 80, will be scheduled for a later date at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.

Mr. Jones died on April 9, 2025, in Emory. He was born on February 14, 1945, to Stanley and Lorraine Jones in Dallas.

Mr. Jones served in the Army, serving in Vietnam where he displayed bravery and commitment to his country.

Following his military service, he worked at Southland Corporation. A chance encounter with Eddie Clark during an A/C maintenance job led him to his true calling as the ranch manager at Clear Fork Ranch in Breckenridge, Texas. For over 15 years, he poured his heart and soul into the land.

His most treasured memories were those spent on the ranch, where he shared countless adventures with his son, Kevin, and his grandson, Tyler. They explored the vast expanse of the ranch, bonding over leisurely days of hunting and fishing.

Mr. Jones had a passion for music and was a talented drummer. He played in a band in his younger days. He found joy in good food and gathering with friends at the beloved, Ya’ll Come Back Café, where laughter and stories flowed as freely as the coffee.

Mr. Jones is survived by son, Kevin Jones and Debbie; grandchildren, Devyn and Tommy Strong, Tyler and Cher Jones, and Megan Wright; great-grandchildren, Megan, Brett, Sara, Jade, Logan, Gatlin, Mikah, Everly and Ava; and nephew, Rusty Ferguson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carole An; and brother, Kent Jones.
